Peanut and Plum

Rainbow Romper – Free pattern

It has taken me 9 months to start this romper. I originally wanted to make it before  my little one was born –  She is now 9 months! Where does the time go?!

I made all sorts of little booties, dress, hats and somehow forgot about this little cutie.
It may have worked out for the best as we have our coldest weather right now and she will be so snug in this.

It is a unisex design so don’t be put off making one for your little man because of the pink. It would look soooo smart in a baby blues and neutral colours.
I’m currently working on other sizes but bear with me….Hopefully wont take as long as the original 🙂

Enjoy!!

Note: The pieces will be different sizes, this is to create some give in the back of the romper for a nappy as overall piece would not be very stretchy.
You will need to match up the side by pulling across to stitch.

Assembly
Right sides facing each other stitch along the straight edge of right side all the way up till when the straight edge ends. Do this the same the other side.
Turn right side out.

Sew the back straps on 5 stitches from the side and the bottom edge lining up with last row of Sc.
Line up where you want buttons to go and sew them to front.

Grab your snaps and tool and add 3 snaps to the gusset part Romper.

There you have it a gorgeous little romper that can be worn over tights, baby grows or under leggings/trousers.
